From Juniata County 911 and our PSP barracks:
Nationwide there are false computer generated 911 calls (swatting) being sent claiming that specific schools are involved with an Active Shooter Event. All these calls have been unfounded. There are two schools within central Pennsylvania that have fallen victim to these computer generated 911 calls. The Juniata County 911 Center has not received any of these calls, but we are prepared to handle them accordingly, should that happen
JCSD is currently operating as usual in all buildings.

Yesterday, March 24, JCSD had the opportunity to participate in Wellness Day at East Juniata High School. The day was filled with prizes, sessions and vendors, as well as breakfast and lunch. We would like to thank everyone who played a part in the day but without Jana Snyder and her hard work over the last few months, this day would not have been possible. Her top notch planning and organizational skills are amazing! Thank you Jana for the incredible day!

There are trees and wires down on Muddy Run road in Mifflintown. Buses 9 and 13 will be running detoured routes and may be slightly behind schedule. Thank you for your patience.

Several buses are running behind due to snowy roads; buses 30, 31, 38, and 39 have all reported being approximately 10 minutes late.
JCSD is operating on a 2 hour delay today, January 17, 2023 due to the possibility of ice and freezing rain.

The power, phones and internet at EJHS and EJES have been restored.
Due to a power outage in the Richfield area , East Juniata Elementary School has no phone or internet this morning. School will still be in session. We will provide updates when we receive new information.
