The Juniata County School District will be operating on a 3 hour delay on Monday, December 16, 2024.
Parent Teacher Conferences are scheduled for Tuesday, November 26, 2024 from 2-8pm. There is no school for students. If you need information for a conference, please contact your child's teacher. Schools are closed through December 2, 2024 for Thanksgiving Break.

Bus 45 is running approximately 15 minutes behind schedule today, October 25, 2024, due to mechanical issues. Another bus is on its way.

Good evening JCSD families, The Pennsylvania State Police conducted a safety check for registration, seat belts, license, etc, at Juniata Elementary School this morning. There were many cars present with lights on at the entrance to the school. There was no emergency at JES this morning. In the future you may see emergency vehicles at any of our schools throughout the school day. Sometimes they are just visiting and conducting a walk-through. Other times they are there for an emergency situation. Please know that in the event of an emergency we will provide information to you as soon as we can but there are times that it is not appropriate to send information out immediately. This afternoon at dismissal there was an adult experiencing a medical emergency at East Juniata Elementary School that resulted in the delay of dismissing our students on school transportation. Juniata County School District is aware of the rumor circulating on social media regarding an anonymous threat at schools. This unsubstantiated school threat is being circulated throughout Pennsylvania as well as other states across the nation. We want to reassure you that we are taking the steps necessary to ensure the safety of our students and staff. There have been no specific threats made to any schools within the Juniata County School District.

The district has still not received all the results of the asbestos testing that was completed for the Academy.
The Academy building will remain closed until the district receives all the test results.
As a result, the Academy building will remain closed on Thursday, September 5, 2024.

This morning at the Academy, a full range of asbestos testing samples were collected and sent to a lab in New Jersey for testing. We were notified this afternoon that the test results will not be made available until no later than Wednesday afternoon. The Academy building will remain closed on Wednesday, September 4, 2024. All high school programs for the Academy will be held in various instructional areas at Mifflin County High School on Wednesday, September 4, 2024. All Mifflin County School District and Juniata County School District Academy students will be at Mifflin County High School on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, for instruction. Good afternoon, JCSD families! Busing assignments have been mailed! If your child is assigned to van transportation, you will receive a phone call during the week leading up to the first day of school; this will include your pick up and/or drop off time, as well as your van number. Please note that any changes to your child's busing information should be requested by August 14th, 2024 @ 8 am, in order to be in place for the first day of school.
