JCSDFamilies: The administration would like to remind our community that schools will open for in person learning September 1, 2021. Masks will be optional in all JCSD buildings but will be required on school transportation to and from school and school based events. If you have any questions, please contact your local school's principal.

Homeroom assignments have been posted on each school building website for the 2021-22 school year. Individual Student schedules will be posted to the school Sapphire website on August 23, 2021. A districtwide open house will be held on Aug 31, 2021 from 2:00-4:00 at each school.

JCSD continues to be experiencing an internal internet outage which means our phones are still down. An update will be posted when the internet is restored.

The Juniata County School District would like to update the community of our plans for the reopening of the 21-22 school year. We are happy to announce our plan to reopen schools with a full time in person schedule. In addition, students attending in person instruction will not be required to wear face coverings in the school buildings. Furthermore, we have partnered with the TIU #11 to expand our virtual course catalog beyond Odysseyware. We feel this increase of offerings will better meet student needs. If you prefer your child to receive virtual learning next year, please contact your home school’s office for additional information. The district will not be able to offer a full schedule of HRE type classes for the upcoming school year. We cannot wait to welcome our students back for an exciting new year. We are also reminding families, the district may be required to make changes according to any new state or federal mandates.
Dear JCSD Families: It is with deep regret, we share that Curtis Clark, a beloved teacher at East Juniata Elementary School, passed away yesterday, June 24th. We understand this is difficult information for our students and staff to hear and process. To help during this time, our counselors, admin team, and psychologists are available for those needing immediate support over the weekend. For any student or staff needing in-person support, East Juniata Elementary School will be open and counselors will be available from 12:00-4:00 p.m. on Monday, June 28th.

The Juniata County School District is pleased to announce that summer school is free for secondary students who were unable to pass all of their courses for the year. Your child should be receiving the summer school information and registration form from their teacher. You can also find the information on the live feed of your child’s school website.

Summer school for grades 6-12 will be different than in previous years. This year's summer school will run from July 6-29 and be in-person at Tuscarora Junior High and East Juniata High School. Students will be able to make up TWO full-credit courses. Classes will run three days a week for twelve days. There is no cost. More details will follow.
There is an error on the menu for Friday, May 7, 2021. Friday is a remote school day.
Please be advised that Bus 17 will be running approximately 25 minutes behind schedule for the afternoon bus run on Tuesday, May 4, 2021.
Parents are reminded that if their child is experiencing any type of cold or flu symptoms, they should not send their child to school. If you are concerned about whether or not to send your child to school, please contact your child's school nurse. Also, if anyone in the household is being tested for covid, please keep all students home from school until you receive the test results.
