Preliminary Budget Notice and Special Meeting Notice and Per Capita Tax Notice and Occupation Tax Notice

NOTICE is given that the Proposed Preliminary Budget for the General Fund of the Juniata County School District for the 2020- 2021 fiscal year is available for public inspection at the school district offices, 146 Weatherby Way Mifflintown, Pennsylvania, and will be presented for adoption as a Preliminary Budget Proposal at a school board meeting to be held in the board room of the district office, 146 Weatherby Way Mifflintown, Pennsylvania at 7 p.m. on January 29, 2020 The Preliminary Budget Proposal may be amended before adoption. This will be a special meeting held for consideration of the Preliminary Budget Proposal and any other business raised at the meeting.

NOTICE is also hereby given that persons eighteen (18) years of age or over who become residents or inhabitants of this school district and persons attaining the age of eighteen (18) years while a resident or inhabitant of this school district are required by law within twelve (12) months thereafter to notify Rich Meily, School District Business Manager, Mifflintown, Pennsylvania, telephone 717-436-2111, of their having become residents or inhabitants or their attainment of age. This notice is given in connection with the per capita tax and occupation tax levied by the Juniata County School District, and any person failing to comply with the requirements of this notice will be liable, in addition to the tax, for a penalty equal to the tax.
