If you’re looking for a movie that makes you feel uncomfortable yet intrigued, Pixar’s new movie “Turning Red” is the movie for you! “Turning Red”  is a film that tells the story of Mei Lee, a thirteen-year-old girl who is just beginning the transition into adolescence from childhood just like any other kid her age, but with a twist! Mei Lee finds out that her family passes down the ability to turn into a red panda when full of different emotions such as rage and passion. “Turning Red”  is deserving of the 73% audience rating that it received on Rotten Tomatoes from its smooth animation to its somewhat uncomfortable  references that can have adults asking themselves, “Did I hear that correctly?” While the film is a little mature with references to puberty and things associated with it, it’s a well-rounded film that illustrates the flow of time for young girls.
