The volleyball tournament hosted Friday 3/18, at the high school that benefited the student council was a sight to see. With 11 teams participating, with the goal of winning gold, including a staff team named “Red Pen Brigade”, the tournament commenced. The double elimination tournament, in which you had to lose twice to be completely eliminated, quickly had some teams cut such as the FFA team. At the end two teams were fighting for first place, the senior team named Block Busters, and the team called Block Party. Both teams had already played each other earlier in the tournament with the senior team winning, therefore if the Block Busters won, the tournament would be over as the Block Party would have lost twice. After a tight match Block Party won meaning that the Blockbusters had acquired their first loss. In the final match between the two teams the Block Busters ended up winning, but not without a fight from Block Party.
