The boys basketball team had, overall, a great season in which they achieved many accomplishments. With an impressive 11 wins to 7 losses, the team ended up ranking 3rd in the Tri-Valley League (TVL). With starting players including Max Lauver, Austin Derr, Jacob Condo, Evan Leach, and GG Ortiz, the team put up a strong defense for certain games such as Greenwood. In the game against Greenwood, the ending score was 30-29, with Caleb Smith scoring a last second point which secured us the win.
As for the girls, they ended their season with 16 wins and 7 losses, 13 of the wins and 3 of the losses being in the league. They finished 2nd in the TVL and managed to achieve 2 wins against East Juniata which hasn’t happened in over 5 years. Another notable mention is senior Mackenzie Bennet’s 1,000 points. The teams starting players are as follows: Seniors - Talon Walton and Mackenzie Bennet; Sophomores - Ava Shearer and Haley Mummah; Freshman - Regan Lowrey. The team accomplished the great feat of beating Line Mountain, the undefeated team who stood as 1st in the TVL.
