On May 11th, Lovejoy’s new EP, Wake Up & It’s Over, was released. The songs on the album include Portrait of a Blank Slate, Call Me What You Like, Consequences, Warsaw, Scum, and It’s Golden Hour Somewhere. The cover art was made by Marina Totino Miniatures. I think the storyline of this EP is amazing. The EP is based around WU&IO Industries, and the recent train derailment and the crash of flight WU345. (Just to clarify, these are not real events.) I’ve been enjoying this EP, and I think all the songs are great. I love Portrait of a Blank Slate and It’s Golden Hour Somewhere. Portrait of a Blank Slate was even played on BBC Radio One. Lovejoy is currently on their Across the Pond Tour in America (which I wish I got tickets to). I’m so excited to see what else comes from this new era of Lovejoy.
