Students in Mrs. Kerstetter's Art classes created posters for the 2023 American Legion Poppy Poster Contest. They were encouraged to honor America's veterans by including the words "American Legion Auxiliary," a brief slogan, red Flanders Field Poppies, and a wide range of illustration possibilities reflecting this theme. Mrs. Sue Shelley, an aide at EJ, promotes the yearly contest as a member of the 298 Auxiliary Unit. They received 60 entries this year from both Juniata County high schools! Mrs. Kerstetter's father is a veteran of the Vietnam War. It is important for today's students to honor our veterans through this project and show appreciation for the soldier's dedication and service to our country, sometimes paying the ultimate price with their lives. Thank you to all the students who worked so hard on their entries! Congratulations to the following students……
