The Juniata County Food Pantry is excited to announce its 13th year of offering the Summer Backpack Program. Children who have completed any grade in the Juniata County School District this year from kindergarten through eighth AND received free or reduced lunches at school are eligible to participate.
Each student will receive food for 20 lunches for each of the three summer months, beginning Tuesday, June 3, and continuing until Saturday, August 23.
Beginning in May, parents/legal guardians may call the pantry at 717-436-9718 to schedule an appointment. Please leave a message, and your call will be returned during regular pantry hours. Pantry hours are 9:00 a.m. -noon and 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. Tuesdays and 9:00 a.m. - noon on Saturdays.
Parents/legal guardians will need to present their child’s/children’s report card(s) for registration as proof of Juniata County School District attendance. This may be the actual paper copy or as viewed on the adult’s phone.
